Aztec Hot Chocolate

This is a very simple, yet unusual hot drink combining sweet and spicy, best on chilly days, but tasty anytime.

Vegetarian!

Ingredients
1 2/3 cup milk
1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 red chile pepper, split and seeds removed
1 stick cinnamon, 3-4 "
1 1/2 oz. grated chocolate

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Simmer milk in saucepan with vanilla, cinnamon and chile. Heat for 1-2 minutes. Whisk in grated chocolate and continue to simmer til melted. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain out spices and serve.
