Apple-Pecan Compote

Serves: 6-8


Ingredients
4 apples
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Peel, core, and dice the apples and toss with the lemon juice.
  2. Heat a large saucepan. Add the pecans and toast them, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on medium-high heat until apples are tender and much of the water has cooked off, about 15 minutes.
